Image Keywords: Loch Affric in the Scottish Highlands is situated at the end of a spectacular dead end road a few miles West of Loch Ness. The scenery all around is breathtaking and unspoilt, and the journey is well worth the effort.
On this particular day the weather was overcast and windy, and it seemed unlikely that anything would be worthy of photographing, but as we stood and admired the location the clouds parted briefly revealing the smallest glimpse of the most beautiful blue sky above. Shafts of sunlight poured through the hole in the cloud as if the sky had sprung a leak, and the land around the loch was illuminated perfectly.
