Porcelain Fungi A nice group of Porcelain fungus at various stages of development. Otherwise known as Slimy Beech Cap, these fungi are generally found way above the ground on the trunks of beech trees, and this group was no exception. I climbed up into the crook of where two branches split to get at eye level with these fungi, only to realise that due to the dense coverage of foliage above me there was insufficient light levels to get a sharp image without using a tripod. I managed to secure the tripod by precariously balancing the legs on three seperate braches which left very little room for me to squint through the viewfinder, and after a few tries I managed to contort myself into a position that I could frame the image properly and get the shot I wanted.
